The leaking pond in a sorry state

This lined pond in Surrey had developed a bad leak after 12 years service threatening it's resident population of coy carp and so it was re-lined over the old liner.

The algal bloom causing the green water in the last picture was subsequently treated using a bacterial culture to reduce the nutrient in the water - ideal in a static hydraulic system such as this pond ie no through flow of water.
