This lined pond in Surrey had developed a bad leak after 12 years service
threatening it's resident population of coy carp and so it was re-lined over the old liner.
The pond is drained, the fish removed and accumulated silt is removed
A new outlet is constructed
Some much relieved fish!
The coy carp are stored in aerated tanks
The new liner is laid over protective felt
The completed pond with new timber edging
The algal bloom causing the green water in the last picture was subsequently treated using a bacterial culture
to reduce the nutrient in the water - ideal in a static hydraulic system such as this pond ie no through flow of
water.
